Look out for the Gibbous/Full Moon in Libra in the sky on Wednesday/Thursday as it reflects the fiery and bold cardinal energy of the Aries Sun.
How can we integrate this energy into our lives?
We can check to see which of the 12 houses the Libra Moon activates. If you don't have your astrology chart, generally, we are looking to find a balance in a specific area of life.
Aries is opposite Libra. It highlights the relationship between oneself and another. How we communicate, compromise and show compassion to ourselves and others.
Consider some of the other themes of Libra: the scales, justice, harmony, art, peace and love. A lower Libra vibe is being non-commital, indecisive, superficial, co-dependent and keeping the peace at all costs.
Whatever dance is playing out - which theme resonates?
It seems that by just being human, every second, there is something or someone to challenge our inner peace and balance. Especially right now as the Sun is holding hands with Chiron (the Wounded Healer) and Jupiter is looking over their shoulder, possibly magnifying a childhood wound that wants some attention.
Luckily, we have the eight limbs of yoga and astrology to shine the light of our awareness into discomfort or ease. Utilising the motivating Aries energy, we can initiate change, reframe an old story and take the necessary action to heal. Or, to consider Mars in the nurturing sign of Cancer, where we can take a moment to reflect and feel the pain, then embody the Aries energy and step forward more mindfully with a fresher perspective.
Libra is an Air sign ruled by Venus. It governs the lower back, the kidneys and general homeostasis (balance).
Here are some favourite yoga asanas that we have been practising in our Sunrise class this term to embody strength, connection and balance: The Hamdangle with a yoga belt for the Kidney Meridian, Tadasana (Mountain), Garudasana - (Eagle), Vrksasana (Tree), Trikonasana (Triangle) into Ardha Chandrasana (Half Moon), Virabhadrasana I - III (Warrior I to III) Nadhi Shodasana (Alternate Nostril Breathing) and Savasana (Corpse).
We've also incorporated energy techniques and elemental dance to harmonise our hormones and release what's no longer needed.
Full Moons are a fantastic time to celebrate what works in our lives and to illuminate what we need to change and let go of. In balancing the Aries Sun, "it's all about me" attitude and the Libra Moon's "it's all about us!", we can reflect on whether we give too much or not enough to our relationship with ourselves and others.
We can tune in to the Libra energy and, with courage and grace, have the conversation with a business/romantic partner, friend or family member to re-address the balance.
Depending on where 16 degrees of Libra is in your natal chart, it will reveal where you can reflect on where to take action towards more inner peace and harmony.
