The Aries Harvest Moon: Finding the Courage to Be Yourself

Release • Reclaim • Reset ceremony at Serenity Space: https://www.serenityspace.uk/workshops
The Harvest Moon reaches fullness in Aries on Saturday 26 September at 5:49 pm BST. As we move into autumn, it offers a moment to recognise what has grown over the past six months, give thanks for what has supported us, and consider what we are ready to release.
Aries asks a direct question: What do I need?
Opposite it, the Sun in Libra reminds us that our choices affect others at work and at home, especially the people we love. We may notice where we have kept the peace by staying quiet, or where we have acted quickly without making room for someone else’s experience. This Moon invites us to find a more honest balance between the two.
Courage with compassion
The Moon sits close to Neptune, which can make this Full Moon feel sensitive and intuitive as well as fiery. You might sense that something needs to change before you can explain exactly what it is. Feelings may be vivid, but the next step may still be unclear.
You do not need to solve everything at once. Let your yoga practice give you time to listen. Begin with a few minutes of steady breathing. Notice where you feel strong, where you feel guarded, and where you could soften. The aim is not to push through an emotion, but to make enough space to understand it.
Movement and possibility are present in the wider pattern around this Moon. The Sun in Libra connects with Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius, while the Moon in Aries opens a path towards them. In simple terms, a fresh perspective could help you step out of an old pattern. An honest conversation, a new idea, or the realisation that you have more choice than you thought may be the beginning of change.
At the same time, relationships could stir strong feelings. If you find yourself wanting both closeness and independence, try to be curious about both needs. Give yourself a pause before reacting. Courage can sound like a clear boundary, a sincere apology or a request for support.
A practice for this Full Moon
Choose a form of movement that helps you feel present rather than one that asks you to perform.
Ground yourself: Stand in Mountain Pose and feel the support beneath your feet. Take five slow breaths before deciding what needs your attention.
Explore your strength: Move through a few gentle lunges or Warrior poses. Notice the difference between steady effort and strain.
Make room to soften: Rest in Child’s Pose or lie down with one hand on your heart and one on your belly. Let your breath slow naturally.
Reflect: Ask yourself, Where can I be more fully myself while staying open to others?
You might finish by writing down one thing you are grateful for, one pattern you are ready to release, and one small action you can take in the days ahead. That is enough. You do not need a complete plan to begin.
If you would like to share the Full Moon in community, join me tomorrow at Serenity Space. Thimela Garcia is holding a Release • Reclaim • Reset ceremony on Saturday from 4–6 pm, with cacao, meditation, breathwork and sound. You are equally welcome to mark the moment quietly at home or through your own practice.
As the season turns, let your practice bring you back to what feels true. Breathe, listen, and take your next step from there.
With love,
Trish x
