Finding Our Balance: A New Moon Invitation to Come Home to Yourself
Dear Lighthouse Lovelies!
This New Moon in Libra offers a gentle invitation to pause and reflect on our relationship with ourselves and with others.
How do we nurture connection without overlooking our own needs? Where might we welcome more honesty, balance or ease?
We can use this new cycle to notice familiar patterns around trust, belonging and self-worth. Perhaps we have been keeping the peace at our own expense, giving more than feels sustainable, or holding back something that needs to be expressed with care.
We don’t need to find every answer immediately. Sometimes, the first step is to become quiet enough to listen.
Begin Close to the Earth
Start your practice in Child’s Pose, allowing your hips to move towards your heels and your forehead to rest on the mat, a cushion or a block. Support yourself generously; if this position is uncomfortable for your knees or hips, rest on your back with your knees bent instead.
Feel the points of contact between your body and the earth. Let your arms rest wherever they feel most comfortable, and let your breath find its natural rhythm.
Stay for a few easy breaths. Notice what happens when you give yourself permission to pause.
Ask inwardly: How am I arriving today? What needs my attention, and what can wait?

Child's Pose
From this reflective beginning, gently move into your practice:
Slow Cat–Cow: Come onto hands and knees, moving your spine with an unhurried breath. Explore a comfortable range rather than striving for a deeper shape.
Gentle side stretches: Notice where you can create space without forcing. Allow each side of your body to have its own experience.
Warrior II: Find a comfortable stance, feel your feet on the ground and soften your shoulders. Explore steadiness without rigidity.
Supported Tree Pose: Use a wall if helpful. Let the small adjustments remind you that balance is responsive, and support is welcome.
Supported Savasana: Finish by letting the floor carry your weight. Give yourself a few minutes with nothing to achieve.
Let the practice be a conversation with your body. Return to Child’s Pose, or another comfortable resting position, whenever you need a pause.
Ground Before You Respond
When emotions feel strong, return to simple care: a nourishing meal, a walk outdoors, a familiar routine or a moment to feel your feet on the ground in Tadasana.
At home and at work, you can give yourself time before answering a difficult question: “
I’d like a little space to think about that.”
Then ask:
What do I need to communicate?
Can I express it kindly and clearly?
Can I listen without losing touch with myself?
Harmony can include an honest boundary, a difference of opinion and the willingness to reconnect after a misunderstanding.
Journal Prompts for This New Cycle
After your practice, choose one or two:
What became clearer when I slowed down?
Where am I saying yes when something within me says no?
What would a fairer balance of giving and receiving look like?
What am I learning about trust, love and my own worth?
Which relationship needs appreciation, a boundary or an honest conversation?
What brings me joy, and how can I make space for it?
Choose one small intention you can return to:
I will pause before agreeing.
I will ask for support.
I will make time for joy.
Bringing the Joy of Ibiza Home
After our joyful retreat with Ralph and Zumba friends in Ibiza last week, I’m feeling grateful for the time we shared and the pleasure of stepping away together.
Retreats remind us how nourishing movement, rest, laughter and connection can be. Now, the invitation is to bring a little of that feeling home, a slower morning, a moment on the mat, or more time with people who lift our spirits.
We have 4–8 October 2027 pencilled in for our return to Ibiza, and I’m already looking forward to gathering again.
Before then, I will return to our magical home of Goa for Awaken Your Inner Peace, 4–11 March 2027, with my friend and life coach, Fleur Prime, space to step away, reconnect, and listen to what you need. (Find more information at the end of this blog.)
